Shiitake is also very well known for its effectiveness as an immune tonic. This liquid Mushroom Extract Shiitake from Omega Alpha is a source of fungal polysaccharides with immunomodulating properties. Used in Herbal Medicine to support the immune system, Shiitake provides antioxidants that help protect cell damage caused by free radicals. There is also evidence to suggest that shiitake extract can help to lower cholesterol. A compound called eritadenine has been shown to possess these cholesterol lowering properties. People taking blood thinners should only use Shiitake under medical supervision. It is recommend to supplement with Omega Alpha’s Mushroom Extract Shiitake liquid up to three times per day and can be taken with or without food. For palatability, required dosage may be taken with a small quantity of honey or mixed with juice or water.

Ingredients per 1 teaspoon (5 ml):
Lentinula edodes (Shiitake, Fruiting body) .....1000 mg

Additional Ingredients: Purified water, Citric acid, Potassium sorbate.

Suggested serving: Adults: Take 2 teaspoons (10 mL) three times per day. May be taken with or without food. For palatability, required dosage may be taken with a small quantity of honey. Can be mixed with juice or water. Shake well before use. Shake well before use.
